Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek continues her streak of convincing victories at the Australian Open. This time, she defeated Cristina Bucsa from Spain in straight sets, 6:0 and 6:1.
Cristina was unable to match Swiatek’s intensity at any point in this match. For convincing victory and advancement to the next round, Iga required only 55 minutes of play.
To save herself from a complete debacle, Bucsa won one game in the second set, for which she won a round of applause from the audience.
Swiatek will face Elena Rybakina in the round of sixteen on Sunday, January 22nd.
