Nadal Named Favorite Player by Fans

Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal has been awarded the ATP Fans’ Favorite award for the very first time in his career, as per the organization’s site.

With this award, Nadal interrupted the domination of Roger Federer in this category, who won the award from 2003 to 2024. Nadal won four trophies, among which two were grand slam titles – the Australian Open and Roland Garros.

He also finished the season as the world’s number two on the ATP list and had 39 wins and 8 defeats throughout the year.

“I’m happy to receive this award in 2024, and I feel great. I can’t thank you all enough for not only supporting this award but all the support I’ve received in every city and competition around the world. It means everything to me.

“I’m going to celebrate 2024 again with so many positive things. I’m looking forward to sharing everything. See you soon,” Nadal stated.
