Alcaraz Donated the Shoes in Which He Won the US Open

Carlos Alcaraz already showed that he is a great champion on the court, but recently he showed a lot of class off it as well. He decided to donate the sneakers in which he won the US Open this year to charity.

“Once again, our ambassador Carlos Alcaraz demonstrates his commitment to the people of his country and to the people of Murcia who need it most by helping to make many projects of people with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities come true,” said Victor Martinez, the president of the Association of People with Down Syndrome.

This association was founded in Murcia, Alcaraz’s hometown, in 1981. Alcaraz signed the shoes and sent them to the Association on auction. The shoes were sold for 2.250 Euros.

To remind you, in September, Alcaraz triumphed at the US Open and won his first grand slam title in his career. At this point, he also became number one on the ATP rankings.
