Andreescu Receives a Dire Diagnosis After the Injury

Bianca Andreescu, the former US Open champion, has suffered a setback after confirming that she has torn two ligaments in her left ankle. The Canadian was forced to withdraw from her fourth-round match against Ekaterina Alexandrova on Monday night after falling during the third game of the second set.

Andreescu was in visible pain and was wheeled off the court in a wheelchair, leaving fans and supporters concerned about the extent of her injury.

The 20-year-old has reassured fans that she is optimistic about her recovery and is already undergoing rehabilitation. She took to Twitter to give an update on her condition and said that she would take things “day-by-day” to ensure that she is back on court as soon as possible.

The injury is a setback for Andreescu, who has struggled with injuries in the past, but she has shown resilience and determination to overcome them and return to top-level tennis.
