The seventh day of the Australian Open brought us a new surprise and an upset, as Canadian player Felix Auger-Aliassime lost the game in the fourth round to Jiri Lehecka in four sets – 4:6, 6:3, 7:6, and 7:6.
Lehecka put up quite a fight against ATP’s number seven, and he managed to pull an incredible upset and advance to the quarterfinals of the first grand slam of the season.
Auger-Alliasime won the first set, and it seemed like he had everything under control, but everything went downhill from that point. Lehecka will face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals.
