AO Swiatek, Pegula, and Sakkari Advance to the Third Round

WTA’s number-one Iga Swiatek easily advanced to the third round of the Australian Open by beating Camila Osorio in straight sets 6:2 and 6:3, and it took her 85 minutes to get the victory.

Furthermore, Greek player Maria Sakkari also managed to advance to the next round after she beat Diana Schnaider in three sets – 3:6, 7:5, and 6:3.

Jessica Pegula also had a successful run in the second round and won against Aliaksandra Sasnovich by 6:2 and 7:6. Multiple matches at the Australian Open were canceled last night due to the rain, so some of these players will have to wait to find out their opponents.
