Bianca Andreescu Retires From the Tournament in Doha

Former world number four Canadian player Bianca Andreescu was forced to withdraw from the tournament in Doha that starts on February 20th due to a shoulder injury.

She also withdrew from the match against Ukrainian player Lesia Tsurenko at the Thailand Open last week, and it seems that her recovery didn’t go as planned, hence the withdrawal from the tournament in Qatar.

Andreescu is currently ranked number 37 on the WTA list, and ever since 2019, she didn’t manage to win a single trophy on the WTA tour. Barbara Krejcikova will step into Bianca’s slot for the tournament in Doha.
