Rafael Nadal, Spanish tennis player and former no. 1, is preparing to return to the ATP tour. The winner of 22 grand slam titles plans to play at Masters in Paris, and by the end of the year, he will also play at the end-of-the-season Masters in Turin, as per Nadal’s coach, Carlos Moya.
Nadal’s last match was in the round of sixteen at the US Open, where he lost to Frances Tiafoe. Later on, Nadal played in the exhibition Laver Cup, where he lost in doubles with Roger Federer, who retired at this tournament.
Spaniard is still the world’s no. 2, right below Carlos Alcaraz, and during the year, he managed to win two grand slam titles, Australian Open and Roland Garros.
