It’s been three weeks since Daniil Medvedev surprisingly withdrew from the match against Novak Djokovic in the semifinals in Astana. Russian tennis player successfully recovered from the injury and announced that he is ready to return to the court at a tournament in Vienna, where he will play vs. Nikoloz Basilashvili.
“I want to thank my physiotherapist, who did an incredible job and helped me return to the court. I trained, I ran, I moved, and I did not feel any issues. I feel 100 percent, and I am ready to go,” Medvedev stated.
The Russian tennis player is close to qualifying for the season-ending Masters in Turin; however, there are some players that might make this endeavor difficult for him.
