Ons Jabeur, current number-three on the WTA list, will not play in the tournaments in Doha and Dubai. She recently made an announcement on her social media that she will not participate in these tournaments that will take place in the upcoming two weeks.
She let her fans and followers know that she would have to undergo surgery, but she did not reveal more details regarding the nature of this surgery.
“My medical team have decided that I need to get a minor surgery in order to be able to be back on the courts and perform well. I will have to retire from Doha and Dubai, and this is breaking my heart. I would like to say sorry to all the fans out there in the middle east that waited for this reunion. I promise I will come back to you stronger and healthy,” she posted on her Instagram profile.
