Rune Gets Eliminated by No. 160 on the ATP List

There was a huge upset in the round of sixteen at the ATP 500 Rotterdam after the Danish player and number four on the ATP list got eliminated by Gijs Brouwer.

Rune was expected to continue trending upward after his win over Novak Djokovic at Masters in Paris in December. He indeed showed a lot of potential but has also proven that there he still has a lot to work on and learn.

This match against the world’s 160th tennis player was another proof that he still has a lot to figure out about dealing with the pressure. After Brouwer won the first set with 6:4, he started the second set strongly and had a lead of 4:0 before Rune finally withdrew.
