World number four Daniil Medvedev managed to advance in a tournament in Vienna after he defeated Austrian player Dominic Thiem in two sets – 6:3, 6:3. Russian managed to fight to the win after one hour and thirty-nine minutes of play.
Medvedev managed to win three break points while he did not allow a single one from his opponent. In the next stage, Medvedev will face Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner, who managed to defeat Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo in two sets.
Daniil Medvedev seems to be in tip-top shape after he suffered an injury vs. Novak Djokovic in Astana, and he remains one of the favorites at the tournament in Vienna.
