Chinese tennis player Wu Yibing recorded a sensational result in the semifinals of the Dallas Open after defeating Taylor Fritz in three sets – 6:7, 7:5, and 6:4, which was enough to advance to the finals against John Isner.
It was evident from the very start that Fritz would have his hands full. Wu played with extreme precision and willpower since the first serve in the game. Even though Wu lost the first set, he continued playing at a high level and managed to stun Fritz.
In the third and final set, the match was called in the fifth game when Wu managed to convert the breakpoint and keep the advantage until the very end of the match. He became the first Chinese man to reach the ATP tour final with this upset.
